Nike Bourke teaches creative writing and cultural studies at the Queensland University of Technology.  Her first novel The Bone Flute won the Queensland Premier’s Literary Award for an unpublished manuscript and was subsequently short-listed in the Commonwealth Writers Best First Book Award for the Asia-Pacific Region.  Nike’s latest novel The True Green of Hope was published in 2005. Nike is working on a new novel.
