Charlotte Calder has worked as an actor and photographer, as well as writing occasional newspaper columns.  Her novel for young people Settling Storms was followed by Cupid Painted Blind and Surviving Amber. Paper Alice was published by Pan Macmillan in 2008. Her first picture book, Stuck! was published by Walker Books in 2009.
