Idan Ben-Barak was born on Christmas day 1974, about two hills away from Bethlehem. He is currently working towards a Ph.D. in the History and Philosophy of Science at University of Sydney. He holds a B.Sc. in Medical Science and a M.Sc. in Microbiology from the Hadassah School of Medicine, the University of Jerusalem. Small Wonders, his book of popular science, was published by Scribe in 2008, with US, Chinese and Italian rights sold. Idan lives near the Merri creek in Melbourne's northern suburbs with his wife and son.
