Caitlan joined Curtis Brown in early 2016 with a background in law. She is studying a Masters of English at Sydney University. Caitlan is assistant to Pippa Masson and Tara Wynne and loves working on their varied lists.

Clare was a book publisher at Penguin Books before joining the agency in 2007. She lives in Melbourne, where Curtis Brown’s office is housed in a Brunswick studio. She works with a diverse range of authors across fiction, non-fiction, children’s and illustrated books.

Grace Heifetz

Grace grew up between Sydney and the Blue Mountains. She moved to San Francisco in 1997 and worked in restaurant and food PR, with groups such as Slow Food San Francisco and Alice Waters’ Edible Schoolyard Project. After a short stint in London she returned to San Francisco in 2000 and became involved with independent radio producers The Kitchen Sisters. Grace project managed the Peabody Award-winning NPR series Lost & Found Sound and The Sonic Memorial Project, a living archive and online sound installation that tells the life and history of the World Trade Center and the events of 9/11. In 2002 she returned to Australia and began working at Curtis Brown.

Fiona Inglis

Fiona graduated with a BA from Melbourne Uni in the good old days when tertiary education was free. She started in publishing working for the Australian branch of UK publisher Routledge & Kegan Paul, and then worked for head office in London for two years. She returned home in the mid-80s and began working for Allen & Unwin firstly in sales then as an editor on their fiction list. Following that was a year at HarperCollins as Publisher of Literature. She joined Curtis Brown as an agent in 1993, and oversaw the purchase of Hickson Associates in 1999 when she became Managing Director. She was the founding President of the Australian Literary Agents’ Association.

Pippa Masson

Agent

Pippa has worked at Curtis Brown since 2001 in a variety of roles so is pretty much part of the furniture. She now works as a full time agent at the company and understands writing and writers very well since her mother is one! Over the years she’s developed a comprehensive client list of adult fiction and non-fiction, illustrated titles and children’s books. She is currently Treasurer of the Australian Literary Agent’s Association.

Anamarija Regler

Anamarija joined Curtis Brown in 2018. She is studying a Bachelor of Professional Writing and Publishing at Curtin University. Anamarija spends most days reading, writing and making impassioned speeches about things nobody cares about. She has been referred to as delightfully strange, which she liked, and can often be found procrastinating with a book in hand.

Clair has managed to roll the unlikely combination of Maths and books, two of her more nerdy childhood passions, into her position at Curtis Brown. After completing her degree in Maths, she embarked on a corporate career in Brisbane. She left that behind to start a family and move to Sydney. When she returned to the workforce in 1997, it was to the genteel surrounds of Curtis Brown.

Benjamin joined Curtis Brown in 2015. He has a Masters of Publishing from the University of Sydney and has worked for various publishing houses and arts festivals Australia-wide. Benjamin is assistant to Clare Forster and Fiona Inglis and works with their list of clients.

Tara Wynne

Tara Wynne

Agent

With an MA in English from Edinburgh University, Tara Wynne started her publishing career just a few doors down from Charles Dickens’ house in Bloomsbury – at Sheil Land Associates. She joined Curtis Brown UK in 1998, and moved to Curtis Brown Australia as a Literary Agent in January 2002. She represents a broad range of writers from commercial (romance, thrillers, crime, fantasy) to literary fiction and non-fiction (travel, memoir, history, self-help) to young adult fiction and children’s. She is also Vice President of the Australian Literary Agents Association. In her spare time you can find her standing on her head, ocean swimming and whipping up a meal for friends and family, just not all at once.
