Kate Temple & Jol

Kate and Jol Temple are the internationally award-winning children's authors of more than sixteen hilarious books for children, with titles translated into 22 languages worldwide. Their junior fiction series The Underdogs follows a group of down and out dog detectives (and a cat) as they attempt to solve crimes in gritty Dogtown. Kate and Jol are also the authors of the Alice Toolie series and Jimmy Cook Discovers the Third Grade, which was selected as Honour Book by the Children's Book Council of Australia. Their picture books include Bin Chicken and Room on Our Rock – an an allegory about empathy and refugees which can be read front-to-back or back-to-front for two different perspectives. The book received the Charlotte Huck Award for outstanding fiction with the potential to transform children’s lives. Kate and Jol live in Sydney with their two sons. When they’re not writing, Kate pretends to play the tuba and Jol makes little egg-carton shelters for Star Wars characters.
