Catherine Hanrahan
Dr Catherine Hanrahan is a data journalist for the ABC and a former research scientist with a PhD in immunology. She has been a journalist for 17 years, starting out as a health reporter in the specialist medical press, and has a passion for communicating about medicine and health, particularly mental health. Catherine co-authored Changing Minds: The Go-to Guide to Mental Health for You, Family and Friends, published by ABC books (Harper Collins Australia) in 2016. She was a researcher on the award-winning Changing Minds documentary filmed in Sydney’s Liverpool Hospital mental health unit and screened by the ABC in 2014.
