Alexandra Christie
Agent
Alexandra joined Curtis Brown as a literary agent in 2024. She began her career as an agent at The Wylie Agency's New York office, where she worked with Sally Rooney, Mary Gaitskill, Hari Kunzru, Cristina Rivera Garza, and others. She has represented winners of the Stella Prize, the Miles Franklin Literary Award, the Pulitzer Prize, the United States' National Book Awards, and the International Booker Prize. She was previously Rights Director at Giramondo Publishing Company and Editor of HEAT, Australia's international literary magazine.
Alexandra reads widely, with a particular passion for literary fiction and narrative nonfiction. She has a special interest in debut writers and is drawn to immersive, character-driven novels about the thorniest problems of modern life: sex, relationships, money, and the internet. In nonfiction, she looks for narratives that open up unknown worlds, as well as investigative reporting, political journalism, and unflinching memoir. Above all, she seeks out voices with underlying intelligence, a precise eye for detail, and curiosity.
