Kylie Mansfield

A mother of four, Kylie is a credited screenwriter, the published author of Thaddeus Bix and the Pirates of Pepperjack, and a contributor to 365 Ways to Connect with Your Soul. Her true passion, however, lies in writing (dual-timeline) women’s historical fiction, often set in the late Victorian era or amid the upheaval of the World Wars. Her writing tends to explore themes of love, loss, and resilience, primarily through the lens of complex female protagonists navigating hardship. She is especially drawn to the forgotten details of the past—fragments of life and culture that have faded in today’s fast-paced world. In her work, Kylie brings together her love of the past, her fascination with human emotion and connection, and her enduring affection for both England and Australia.

Kylie is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing at Flinders University. When she’s not writing, studying, or attending inspiring experiences like the Fiona McIntosh Masterclass, you’ll likely find her lost in a good book, exploring the outdoors, travelling, or simply enjoying time with her family.
