Tara represents fiction for adults and children, as well as select non-fiction: memoir where truth is stranger than fiction, aspirational stories, or platform and zeitgeist-driven books for our times. Uniting the books on Tara’s list is an interest in strong voice and pace with underlying emotional drive. She is drawn to punchy dialogue, characterisation, and plot, often with a bit dark humour — books that make her heart race, laugh and/or cry.
