Caitlan Cooper-Trent,
Associate Agent
Caitlan has always loved books and people. She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Arts at the Australian National University, majoring in Philosophy and English. She completed a Masters of Publishing/Literature at Sydney University. She came to Curtis Brown in 2016.
Caitlan is an Associate Agent actively growing her list. She also works with Tara Wynne and Pippa Masson on their lists of wonderful clients.
Caitlan’s clients have been in the Australian Top 10 for Non-Fiction, won the Christina Stead Prize for Fiction, the Steele Rudd Award and the Josephine Ulrick National Poetry Prize and have been shortlisted for the Blake Poetry Prize and the Glenda Adams Prize for New Writing. They have been Sydney Morning Herald Best Young Novelist and won the ABC Short Story Prize.
Caitlan is drawn to literary and bookclub fiction that appeals to the intellect and the heart. She loves grounded thriller and horror. She enjoys a wide array of non-fiction that explores what it is to be in the world today - often about the stories we tell ourselves and how they can be expanded or changed.
